On December 27, 2024, a presentation titled "Interior Architecture Culture and Concept" was held by Prof. Buğru Han Burak KAPTAN for the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department students at Antalya Bilim University. This presentation aimed to provide a deep understanding of the profession of interior architecture, offering comprehensive insights into both the historical and contemporary perspectives of the field.

Prof. Buğru Han Burak KAPTAN began by defining the profession of interior architecture and highlighting its role in the design of interior spaces. He emphasized that interior architecture is not only about aesthetics but also involves functionality and user experience. Additionally, he discussed the importance of the culture and concept of interior architecture, stating that this profession directly impacts individuals' quality of life and well-being.

Prof. KAPTAN also explored the evolution of the interior architecture profession, noting how it has changed from the past to the present, not only in terms of design but also in the societal responsibilities of interior designers.

During the session, Prof. KAPTAN provided valuable information on professional practice and ethics. He shared advice on the necessary skills for a successful career, including work discipline, professional relationships, and ethical considerations. He stressed that students must acquire skills to overcome the challenges they will face in interior design practice and emphasized the importance of creating current, user-centered solutions beyond aesthetics.

At the end of the presentation, a question-and-answer session was held, allowing students to ask questions related to interior architecture practice. In this interactive session, valuable insights were shared regarding professional experiences.

Prof. Buğru Han Burak KAPTAN’s presentation provided students with a deep understanding of the cultural, conceptual, and professional aspects of interior architecture.
