Design Talk with Autoban | 15 March 2024 - Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design

With the participation of students from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, we held an online design talk with Autoban company on Friday, March 15th at 2:00 PM. Autoban is not only a firm that has achieved international success in both architectural and interior and product design, but also pioneers a multi-layered design approach based on storytelling. We extend our thanks to the founders of Autoban, Architect Seyhan ÖZDEMİR and Interior Architect Sefer ÇAĞLAR, for meeting with our students during the event.

Our design discussion titled "Interiors and Materials" took place with high interest and participation from our department's students, providing an important contribution to future interior designers. In addition to architecture, Autoban also manufactures various furniture items such as lighting and seating elements, thus emphasizing the importance of material selection according to the geography of design to our students. Our discussion, which contributed significantly to our students' future work and careers by highlighting the importance of material selection in sustainable design approaches, added another link to the bonds between the professional sector and university collaboration.
