On September 26, 2024, the Orientation Program organized by the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department of Antalya Bilim University’s Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture included a workshop conducted in collaboration with CUBO Italian Paint. This workshop further emphasized our department's commitment to sectoral integration. The workshop aimed to accelerate the adaptation processes of first-year students to the professional world of interior architecture and environmental design, enhance their professional skills, and delve deeply into creative thinking processes. It provided our students with an opportunity to gain insights into new trends and technological advancements within the industry, allowing participants to closely follow sectoral developments in addition to their academic education. By highlighting the functionality of the design process and its aesthetic values, this event has reinforced our students' professional awareness. Additionally, it raised awareness regarding technical proficiency, creative problem-solving skills, and aesthetic sensitivity within the context of design.
Through this workshop, our students have come to understand that the profession of interior architecture is not merely an aesthetic and technical design process but also encompasses significant social, cultural, and environmental factors. They were informed that the profession must be evaluated within a broader context, carrying professional responsibilities that range from user requirements to environmental sustainability. The workshop featured applications that blended creative problem-solving, material knowledge, and aesthetic balance, providing students with a significant experience in understanding the impact and value of interior architecture.
This event, made possible with the support of CUBO Italian Paint, played a crucial role in transferring sector-specific knowledge and experiences, creating an important opportunity for students to consolidate the skills and knowledge they will utilize in their professions.
We extend our sincere thanks to Hasan ERGÜN and Ufuk GAMSIZ from the Italian paint company CUBO for the valuable insights they provided during this important workshop. We would also like to thank our students and academic staff for their interest and active participation throughout the workshop.
