The procedures and principles regarding minor education are carried out in accordance with the provisions of YÖK's “Regulation on the Principles of Transition Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Credit Transfer Between Institutions” and within the framework of Antalya Bilim University Double Major and Minor Directive.

Application Requirements for the Minor Program

1- The student must be at the beginning of the third semester of the major program at the earliest, at the beginning of the sixth semester in four-year programs, at the beginning of the seventh semester in five-year programs, and at the beginning of the ninth semester in six-year programs.

2- The student must have taken and successfully completed all the courses in the curriculum of the program in which he / she is enrolled until the semester in which he / she applies to the minor program. However, success is not required for courses taken from upper semesters.

3- The GPA of the student must be at least 2.75.

4- In minor applications to programs that are partially or fully taught in a foreign language, in case the language of instruction of the major program is different from the language of instruction of the program applied for, and in case of applying to programs that are partially taught in a foreign language and fully taught in a foreign language, it is essential to be successful in the foreign language exam conducted by the School of Foreign Languages or to document the minimum proficiency score from foreign language exams whose equivalence is determined by the Senate during the application.

5- Applications for minor programs are made at the beginning of the academic year, on the dates specified in the academic calendar.

6- A maximum of three “minor programs” can be applied. The order of preference is indicated on the application form.

Minor Success and Graduation

1- Course registration for double major/minor programs is done during the course registration period specified in the academic calendar.

2- Students who do not take courses from the double major/minor program for two consecutive semesters are dismissed from the double major/minor program.

3- The course load of the double major/minor program is not taken into account in the completion of the course load required for the student to graduate from the major program.

4- In order for the student to continue the double major program, at the end of each semester, the GPA in the major program must be at least 2.75 and the GPA in the double major program must be at least 2.00.

5- In order for the student to continue the minor program, at the end of each semester, the GPA in the major program must be at least 2.50 and the GPA in the minor program must be at least 2.00.

6- If a student enrolled in a double major / minor program does not meet the GPA requirements specified in this article, his/her registration from the double major / minor program is deleted. However, the courses taken in the second program are indicated on the second program transcript.

7- The education period of students who have the right to graduate from the major diploma program but cannot complete the second major diploma program, starting from the academic year in which they enrolled in the second major diploma program, Article 44 of Law No. 2547
