In-Service First Aid Training for Administrative Staff Held at ABU

Antalya Bilim University organized an in-service training program to enable administrative staff to carry out accurate, prompt, and effective first aid interventions in emergency situations. The training aimed to strengthen knowledge and skills related to basic first aid practices.

Within the scope of the training, topics such as the definition and purpose of first aid, airway obstructions, disorders of consciousness, shock and chest pain, epileptic seizures, bleeding, foreign body injuries, fractures, dislocations, sprains, burns, animal bites, insect stings, and first aid practices in cases of poisoning were addressed in detail.

The training aimed to help participants develop a conscious and safe intervention approach in emergency situations instead of panic and to raise awareness of correct first aid practices. While demonstrating Antalya Bilim University’s importance placed on occupational health and safety and employee safety, the program contributed to increasing institutional preparedness for emergencies and strengthening a safe campus environment.

The training was delivered by Serap BİNGÖL, Lecturer in the Department of Medical Services and Techniques at the Vocational School of Health Services. At the end of the program, participants were presented with Certificates of Participation.
