Ali Engin Dorum completed his undergraduate in Izmir University of Economics at department of Industrial Systems Engineering. He went on to continue his education in the same university with a Master's programme in Industrial Engineering. He is continuing his Doctorate education in Antalya Bilim University on Business Administration since 2024 September.

He started his academic career in Izmir University of Economics Department of Industrial Engineering as a research assistant in August 2014 and have moved to Antalya Bilim University Department of Industrial Engineering in October 2016. He held the position of Coordinator of Career Office from 2018 to 2022.

His fields of study are: Humanitarian Logistics, Operations Management and Supply Chain Management.
